This FBO was home between 12/1/2016 and 3/21/2017 for myself and several other company pilots. Ken, Vern and their team are second to none when it comes to line service, maintenance and professional courtesy. If you are looking for a nice, uncontrolled field that can handle anything from a Yankee to a Challenger a short drive to downtown Dallas. KJWY should be your stop.

We took our G150 into Midway yesterday and the service at Southern Star Aviation was impeccable. Friendly staff that met every need, great price on Jet-A (with tiered discounts to boot), beautifully renovated FBO with a great patio and upstairs observation deck. Crew cars available, and great small-town restaurants for breakfast and lunch. If you need catering, Brookshire's grocery store in Midlothian did a great job on sandwich and salads box lunches. Oh, and DC-3's (sorry Grandpa, I mean C-47's!!!) all over the ramp. What more could you ask for?

Flew into Mid-Way (Midlothian) on 5/23/11 as an alternate due to weather. Blew the left main tire on landing. They worked for 2 hours to get my bird out of the bad weather including issuing a NOTAM. Went back next day scared to see the bill and was absolutely amazed. Less than $200 for new tire tube and all the service (they had 4 guys working for over 2 hours to get my bird indoors). Fabulous, I'll be back for sure.

Southern Star Aviation is the FBO. They do a superb job. I go there frequently and always get superior service. They did the Annual Inspection on the company's Aero Commander- Superb Job! They have major maintenance capability and major Avionics service available in addition to the normal FBO services.
